Mario Brusa

Born in Varese, Italy on 12/9/1961.
He graduated from Università degli Studi di Milano in 1986.
He started his professional activity in the professor Federico Stella law firm in Milan, where he has been working for several years and he was admitted to the Italian Bar in 1991. In 2001 he co-founded the associated law firm “Studio Legale Associato Brusa Spagnolo Tosoni Carelli”.
He specialized in criminal law and he has built a reputation assisting clients facing with financial and company crimes, Public Administration crimes and, in general, in culpable crimes related to professional negligence (i.e. medical liability), and environmental legislation.
In particular, he held defense counsel position in the main criminal court cases of the past years such as the court case for bankruptcy and market rigging by Parmalat, the court case for banking crimes by Banca Popolare di Lodi and the so-called “Telecom affair” case, and several cases regarding environmental and tax fiddle. He participated with the other law firm’s partners and associated as speaker in conferences on “Corporate administrative liability” (D.lgs 231/01). He taught, as assistant lecturer, in the School for Specialization in Legal Professions at the University of Milan, on topics relating to procedural criminal law.
